I'm 21!

Last night, was just. disturbing.

Lol apart from the surprise of course, which was super sweet and unexpected. I got a coupla pleasant surprises so far..Firstly there was Xiaowei's call, all the way from Shanghai, which i'm super thankful for. Miss that girl to bits.

And Brian Chen Jianwen actually wished me! *raves* haha okay not that it's anything big, but I'm just glad he noticed. :)

Anyways, it feels weird doing my 21st here alone..(meaning without sis). Not that we really celebrate together every yr anyways..but this year feels different. its just that in a mere span of 24 hrs it suddenly marks my 21st year on this Earth, and I'm surrounded by so many wellwishes and people who love me, but yet somehow, I feel a tad alone; the sudden feeling of how we go through this life with other people but one day they will leave us and ultimately we live our lives alone.. ? Hm. Wassup with all this emo talk man.

Maybe it's just all the sabo-ing last night. I woke up this morning feeling nauseus from the thought of it. okay lah. i know i'm supp to be used to this kinda jokes--two years and going in hall already.. but really hope my trauma didn't spread on to the freshie girls man. it was a little more extreme last night. Maybe cos it's 21st har. oh wells. I hope i'm open-minded enough. :)
Tonight I'll be supporting xm in his speech for the 22nd MC, and sometimes i ask myself wassup with the "trying to catch up on his life" gestures man? I think i'm just a sentimental person. No more feelings; just being sentimental i guess.

Alrights, I'm officially Twenty-one!! Like woots! Please don't let my hormones start going downhill from here, God! Anyways, to everyone who remembered (or did not), I really appreciate it loads and I'm super blessed to have you in my life! :)

Oh crabs. Just came back from flag day!! Wahhh just now was super shagged. Managed to fill my two tins tho!! YAyNess! for the fact that it's prob gg to be my last flag day! I don't need to do such saikang anymore!! whahaha..

okayokay. I'm not supp to shout that out loud. anw speaking of shouting, everyone's pretty sore-throated now, one week and abit into the camp..Yours truly here suffering from several ulcers under the tongue and even in the throat (I never got one there before!! Hurts like siao.)! Ok la, shan't complain alr.. hehehe.

Btw sis flew off yesterday morning 6am, and I managed to slip her the song I wrote supposedly for our bday for her. Well, the lyrics at least..no tune there yet. hehe. okay I shall work on it nevertheless! She was pretty scared to fly off, and i think i understand, despite me insisting that I'd just be happy to be in her place to fly off right now..Ok I'm half-lying la.

But I really hope u have a really good time there okay, think like an angmoh when u're in USA! Big tiddy cowgirls!! I already wrote a death note to Waikit already so I think they will feel responsible for you la don't worry kay. :P

Wow. And so the birthday passed, and I haven't uploaded the pictures still! Really busy with FWOC now, all the orientation stuff making me so disoriented.. Crave my sleep-as-and-when-I-want days badly..feel as if I haven't had much of those precious days much in this summer break. Btw Xiaowei left a coupla days ago, and I didn't get to send her, and Sis is leaving for texas tonight, and I haven't been around her much this week. Feeling super lost and a tad weary, and abit regretful I had to commit to so much hall stuff. :(

FWOC's been intense so far, and I got back the ugly tan I took so long to get rid of. :( But this year's freshies are a sporting bunch, quite a few potential sportsmen and dancers and singers.. Can totally tell through the dating game(my first in KR), which is so crazy this year! Three to four freshies after one senior, and every mealtime never fails to entertain the crowd with some proposal or onstage performance. super shiong! But then quite fun nevertheless. C BLock got the hottest seniors! Like more then ten of us "in pursuit" and "hooked" already.. Hm. Maybe this'll be my first and last game, so I hope it'll be memorable..in the good way.. My date transformed into a she-man yesterday at Project Runaway. Hmmm.. :P

Anyways, I guess I should put up a few of those pretty pics taken at the party, and update abit! So much's been going on..Block comm went back to deco the block lounge, lift and rooftop too, and now we've got the PRETTIEST LOUNGE & ROOFTOP in KR!! hahahahaha. super happy. Here goes...

So here's the people who helped..

The lounge before painting, and firstly, we painted the lounge blue eyes blue..

We sprayed the fans and then had some fun with "traffic light lollipops"..

Recreated the WELCOME sign and wrapped the tables blue while the paint dried..

Then day two was the drawing and painting of the seabed..
And TADAHH!!! The final portrait! A pretty ocean to depict us fishies in the C-ea block!! :D

Okay, gonna spend some precious time with the family now; everyone has arrived for the usual sunday dinner. Ciao~ :D

Hm not much I need now, your presence will be the best gift! If u really run out of ideas, come with a handful of hugeass balloons and i'll be more than thrilled too! No boys wrapped in paper or boxed up please, still R21 as for now. :P

Kimchi & Bulgogi~

Korea was fantastic! The five days was basically a huge shopping stint in Seoul, albeit mostly for the company. Was down at Namdaemun, the wholesale district of hair accessories, necklaces, earrings..basically a girl's paradise! Cept that u have to buy in bulk. There were lotsa street stalls selling bags and caps and brollys too, and um. who could resist? :P

For the entire trip, every early start of the day saw us down at the same particular cross section..we'd just walk across the street and head down for bfast either in this little row of street snack eatery (mostly udon) or grab a sandwich at this really cosy little hut cafe called fish and bean near our hotel. Best sandwich and caramel mocha i had man!! slurps.

Anyway, shopping wholesale is such a cool experience. Basically to me, it was like putting a kid in a candy shop! Just heaps and pretty heaps of fancy baubles in rows and rows of sellers, most of them sticking crystals or jewels on their merchandise by hand.

I got to help choose too! Which is. totally my thing. haha shucks bimbo. aha. well I did mostly recording of the different goods purchased too, since my mentor can't really read nor write in english, and we conversed mostly to the koreans through a calculator, and of course, my hurriedly-researched bit of korean! Lol. biggest thanks to my korean neighb.

Oh, this i can't resist proclaiming. ahh the perks of a merchandise buyer! Alot of "free" samples!! woots! well initially I was pretty paiseh to take certain things i wanted, but since we bought alot from certain sellers, usually i get to pick some pretty bauble for myself, and pretty soon i got the hang of it! Coolbeans eh. *beams*
I tell you i totally enjoyed the process. plus everynight we'd go down to the 'Orchard Rd' night market place, which sells things quite cheaply too! Everything usually goes for 10 000won which is like, S$14, or the smaller stuff wld cost 1000 to 5000won, which is $1.40 to $7, and it's so worth it!
And of course, Korea's famous for it's facial products!

The Faceshop, Etude house, and SkinFOod dotted the streets..and each shop has a costumed salesgirl with a basket(which contains a free box of cottonwool or comb or goody) to invite/lure you in, and the best thing is the products are about $9 to $20 bucks, which is so much cheaper than here! Got a whole set for myself since i needed it..hurhur.

Sadly, i think I slightly regret not eating the famous pork fatty legs that were all over Namdaemun. My companion's favourite, but I insisted I didn't want to cos they looked really fatty and I could feel my face becoming rounder.. Then i saw it on tv last night and damn. shlda tried. :( We didn't get to eat barbequed meat too!! like bulgogi and all. cos they were too expensive and we were kinda on a budget trip? I think. Lol well next time, next time.

In all, I kinda like korea! THere's just something about the koreans. Really warm and friendly people, 'cept they kinda are abit rough when ploughing through crowds..get a bit pushy. Oh yes. How could I miss out the cute guys? Quite a few eye candies already on the street itself. Not bad, standard much better than s'pore's. lol. alright, no more comments otherwise i'd injure more local guys' egos.

Cotton candied~

I stepped out of the MRT station yesterday, and walked onto hokkaido's blossomed pavements.. almost. ;P

The trees leading to my house were like pink cotton candy on sticks, their pretty blossoms twirling onto the grass below whenever a breeze blew. So pretty!! Singapore does have its own "sakura" blossoms too..I felt so pleasant walking home after a tiring day!

Anyways, gg to have a 3day break from home, gg to KR for CampBLueblood! Gonna be an exciting event, can't wait! ZC will be in my ally group too! haha and i can't believe kaiwen's in too. Wells, Signing off..!!

Old people.

On the way home, I managed to grab a seat in the after-hours packed bus. An elderly couple sat right opposite me, and I started thinking..I wonder when I'm as old as this, will I have my old man beside me? In forty years will there me more couples in the streets, shopping and spending time together? They'd all be my generation people! Would we have learnt to love and stick together or would most of us just divorce or stay single?

This afternoon an english customer asked me what I would like to see in ten years down the road. It was such a random question, but i didnt' get to answer. I think I wanna see more love, less violence, more laughter. And probably there'd be techno-savvy old ppl? Haha. My colleague was lamenting its so hard for her to learn how to use the com just that day. THen i wondered what gadget I'd have trouble catching up with in futre when I'm like, a grandma? Hmm. Endless possiblities.

I couldn't help but envision my looks in the glass behind the old lady. How'd I look like old? All the lost collagen and estrogen.. I hope i don't turn into the naggy, nitpicking, stingy kinda old woman, those who get upset at every cent lost to an unsuccessful bargain. I hope i look like a cheery smily gramma, even if i have crowfeet! And I hope I get a cheery old man as my lifepartner.. no need for any romance at that age already, just someone I can talk to the ends of the world with, to snuggle with and someone to make me hot tea when I'm cold.
Hell. I'll just wait for my Mathew McConaughey to come. :)
