Yesterday was sent out on a mission to check out the Singapore Fair at Orchard Hotel, supposedly quite atas and high class. Well. it was mostly BY expats FOR expats, so I was pretty much the only asian girl browsing around, with the fact that i ran in from the pouring rain and came in looking like a wet kid..and some of the vendors actually snuffed to talk to me, a total change of attitude whenever an angmoh or taitai browses beside me. :X
Anyway. I realise no matter how atas a shop can look, and no matter how pricey they can price their goods, THEY STILL ALL COME FROM CHINA!! -_- OKay some, they claim come from America and Japan, okay. but overall, u can still source most of it from China!! Sighs. The power of an undeveloped country yeah. I'm so disillusioned about expensive stuff now. I think it was that trip w my bro man. I totally have to do it again. haha!
Oh and I realise the circle line at PAya Lebar is NOT open yet! :(( So much for waking up later to go to work. I hope it opens in 2010 when I leave hall!
Travelling is a pain now without my music. My poor, poor ipod!!! I drenched it with OJ in Korea btw. stupid. threw in my bottle of OJ in my bag when i thought i closed it tight. HEARTPAIN!!! I was really going NOOOOOOooooooooooo I don't need another gadget down right now! I cannot afford it, and my precious nanooooooo! :'(
Just surviving in hall with my radio now, and i'm aching to take pics when I hang out w friends, but no camera too! And phone is going dowwwwn. HOW CAN SO MANY TECHIES FAIL AT THE SAME TIME!!?? :'( okay technically my camera is still buried in the Richmond River so that doesn't count. sighs. I can do this. not much going to happen this xmas anyway.
On a happy note, going to go for carolling prac in 15mins ( i so love carolling!) and dinner tonight with Daryl!! Long needed catchup!! :) And finally going to try the handburger and maybe chillout at Overeasy? :) Will update later!~ I need to borrow a cam..
