Taiwan Part I

okayy..finally my long-awaited post about taiwan!! haha things have just been rushing in and there's the bidding for modules and stuff, and I barely unpacked my taiwan stuffs before I have packed off for hall again! anyhoos, just watched the Tennis finals for IHG and there were some pretty moves by the guys! Xiaowei's right. It simply is too easy for any girl to fall for a guy who's good at sports. Same for musically-inclined guys. Too bad I am not just any girl eh? haha okay they had hot butts thats all.

Anyway. Taiwan!! Four days is simply too short! I know I'm going back there sometime again..maybe with sis next time? haha..but pretty worth it I should say, we spent abt an average of $500bucks each, and bought lotsa bags (think about four each) and accessories(i got 3 wallets, a belt, a cap, earrings and a pretty necklace)!! wahaha..we sure can shop despite the wintry weather and lack of Singapore-suitable clothes to buy..

Taiwan Part I

The major places: Ximenting
Felt nothing like the Ximenting I saw on Jacky's show! It is so much more vibrant being there itself, in the heart of taiwan's shopping district, the bustle of the majorly youngster crowd, the bright lights and blingblings of the shops, the delicious-smelling pushcarts which were nervously pushed away when someone shouted "ma tah!".. Pricier tho, the things there--We once went back reluctantly to Shilin to buy a coupla identical wallets charged 200NT less compared to at XMT.. but i love XMT tho, the things there are pretty varied and more to our taste, and theres a VERY good mixture of shopping and food!! which is fab~ ((:

WuFenPu
This was a busybusy crowded street!! A mix of bugis street and Thailand. BUt things are of course more ex, and random hawkers would cart street snacks through the cramped passageway, and lotsa suicidal scooters would weave through the crowd. We got the most from here tho! our bags and some tops--not without a tiring time spent scouring of course. SOo much to look through! That's also where we had really good luroufan(braised pork rice) and heijitang(black chicken soup)!! Daryl look out!! (: it's across the main road and it's v prominent..This restaurant called Famosa, the huge long yellow board with red words and an old man with a beard! must try the soup!! :P~

Shilin
This place, of course, the must-try..most of the pictures i took was from here! haha the food of course. Daryl u must try the guancaiban and awluak and mango ice! I loved those three e most..didn't eat much tho cos we were too full, and just ate like 1/3 of everything so we could try everything, but was so full, i think i ate only one bite of the famous jipai and gave up. Barely tasted it! thats y i say too short la four days, too short! :(

alrites will post up to here first. trying to get my pics into a collage but still taking time! i took 400! and that's just in my cam. some pics here meanwhile: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=16773&id=595186942 haha look out for later posts! will try to reflect more than report! And Daryl enjoy ur six days there thoroughly!! you should go to xindian at the end of the green line of e mrt for cheaper wenquans! (or so i heard from an experienced friend) (:
