My sexy bones

So, I went down to the doc's today afternoon, and tadahH! my foot's now like this; yup. Looks super fat from the solid cast lining my underfoot..Had to take an X-ray, which showed my bones to be normal, just that there's this dubious smudge that the doc says he has to check in case it's a hairline crack or smth. Hope not..

Quite sad lar, school just has to start tomorrow man.. How to walk!! Esp when biz has like a thousand and one steps to hobble up.. :( Thank god I found Yunwen who just passed me her crutches! Anyway, sis had fun wheeling me out of the hospital. I was offered the wheelchair like. THREE TIMES? sighs. like handicap liao. Now I know how u feel, bao! OK la, but it was fun. my first time on a wheelchair..

Ohyes, then the night before, the family went out on a dinner together to Waraku @ Eastcoast! 9 of us went, with the addition of Weiliang and Waihan, Sis and Bro's "spouses" hurhur. It was damn fun! It felt like we have 6 kids in the house now, and like all of us around the same wavelength..It's so fantastic we're all so comfortable w each other, and I guess the fact that the bf n gf were introduced into the rest of our lives actually brought us closer tog as siblings!

Got pretty used to Bro's gf's presence over the hols..actually I was abit lightbulb. But then I had a fab time, and I think I know my bro much better too after watching them together, since it's like. his first gf. It's like watching sis n WL tog. so mushy and act-cutsey. ee. haha! Well I guess it's gd that he's actually showing me this side..I think I never was like that w Xm in front of my family, which made me totally segregate my lovelife n my 'real' life; that's probably why we'd never work out. I wonder how things would be like when the little bro and me get attached too. I think right now we're both content hanging around being single, and it's been fantastic with the two new additions.

I told ma about how it felt like we had six kids now, and then she was like. Ya! Ur dad always wanted six kids..and we both laughed at how he's gonna get another two more in a coupla years. It's fantastic! I love my fam, and it's just only gonna get better as we grow bigger. The sis and bro like can go and get married liao lor. I just hope I'll bring the right addition to make our four an eight! Hm. sometime in the future prolly. :)

My first sprain.

And it happened so fast I barely knew what was going on. All I know was that I heard a huge CRACK and then it hurt real bad, then faded away, then came back again..And then it swelled like a pig's trotter! :(

Zhebin was so nice to help me ice it..I had to put my whole foot into a pail of ice, which made it throb..and then I'm supp to elevate it when i sleep, but it was so uncomfortable n I found my foot at the base of the pillows when I woke up. Hm. so mafan. Anw, it's so inconvenient cos I sprained just after I found out there's touch friendly w e guys tml, and then there is Chingay rehearsal from 11am to 10pm tml! At Kallang! THat is so important and I really really wanan be there for it! I hope I can just tape up and go! Zhebs says it'll take abt 2-3wks to heal..Hopefully just in time for CNY! Otherwise how to wear heels sia! :( Damn. school starts soon too. How inconvenient. And touch ihg on sat!!! :((

Still, it is my first ever sprain or injury due to sports, and I was quite excited haha despite the pain. I always thought ppl who could tape their knee, ankle, elbow, etc. all looked damn cool, like when playing sports.. so sporty..haha! Well my turn now! But sucks la the pain. I hope it doesn't make me rheumatic or anything. When the wind blows my joints sometimes ache like an old woman. Jialat.

Will call ma to buy 4D, 9109! haha today's date. :P

Wahoo! Today was such an impromtu paintballing outing!! My first ever!! YES. One more tick off that list of things to do before i die. DAMNN SHIOOK! We definitely gotta go back and do it again man!!! 100 pellets is simply not enough.

It was C-vilians against C.W.A.T... AND THE C-VILIANS RAWKED! 'Ownage man!' -quotes Lester.. ok la. actually that was just the first match. Barely 5mins and we took our flag already. And we did that twice. Then 2nd match, me n xun were at the frontline of our side, and it was pretty intense! I think i'm a good shooter. hurhur! Apparently the 3 other guys were "hiding" behind at the back..didn't notice. but anw C.W.A.T won this round lah..with an additional purple brick we were supp to get back to base..oh and I didn't even get hit once!! If u don't count the stain i found on my shoe. how cool can!! I dodge so well! Lol. ok but honestly i think i nv run much too lah. even tho i was like. 1m away from the enemy line, behind three big cans. The game ended before I even knew it. But it's damn thrilling lahh! Can't wait to do it again. :D

THen we had to rush back cos xxy had bball friendly and I had Chingay preview..Actually it was quite fun..we got to firsthand paint our faces and wear the full costume n take pics w e float! With all its lights on. Got to see some of the other floats too! And I basically juz sat on e float and pose n wave. haha! Heng no need to dance.. the costumes are quite finicky. Had quite a fun time w Xiying who was the other elf! Lots of photos! Check it out!

Xmas n the New year~

Last night was the gathering at Daryl's, and we had such a wii-cked good time!! Haa sorry for the pun but yes, it was the first time I've played so much wii in my entire life man! Uber fun can! The rabbids are totally insane!

But sadly i still maintained 3rd place after like. 2hrs of consecutive playing? With some help here n there from ed n shar.. how frustrating. lol but it was good fun! And super hilarious too!! Laugh until got abs man. I really love S41 meets. I guess each outing makes us treasure each other more somehow. Anyway i've got a few revelations for my new year resolutions after yesterday's gathering.. I think this year i've been too caught up in my own existence and never really realised the Lurrves around me. Cannot. This can't do. Must resolute to bring back the old me.

Ok I will talk about resolutions later.

Lemme update the second half of my dec this year..Basically, it's been filled with lots n lots of carolling, gathering and games, and movies onscreen and on HBO! Caught twilight with the hall peeps--the show everyone was raving about; and then Ip Man with Justin, keong, Bobs n Bao, which was such a fab kungfu show! Love it action-packed. The best part was the hilarious bits too, and I think my fav character in the show was Ip Man's wife! Firm n virtuous. Next time when I'm a wife I wanna be like that. haha! And then, being the tv junkie I am, I think I caught about at least five shows in the past two days on cable. MIB, Deuce Bigalow, Transformers, and like a few random others on HBO too. hurhurs.

Oh, then then on xmas night there was poker at AC's place! My first time there, and the first time he's using his newly made poker table! Haiyah so free make table. lol! ANw it was good, i'm sure this will continue this year..haha. Tho sadly I lost like 20bucks? But I will have better luck now! I just know it. My new xmas gift was a sign. haha.

Okays now about 2009's resolutions..looking back,

I think laziness and being single is majorly the reason i'm so jaded with life, but it is hardly a reason to be such a slob! I received something for xmas this season that shook me out of it. It wasn't anything big, but I was quite touched. Reminded me that I haven't been attentive to my friends around me..or perhaps I've not been really the person I want to be; maintaining the friendships around me and being more giving; I think the last time I really made something for a friend was a whole year ago! :( *if u don't count dating game*

There's so much happening in my life, and I'm real thankful for that, but I guess I could be happier. I haven't been doing the things I want to do for others, and I think I know the reason why. Procrastination is Evil. Dang we all know that but we keep doing it don't we. There is so much to work on myself this year..my last year in KR already, counting down from this sem, I cannot regret NOT doing anything!

So. This coming year, I resolute to;
1) Be more giving
2) Sleep less
3) Initiate more gatherings
4) Let go and be abit more crazy; it's FYF period! :(
5) Stop being so cynical of life
6) Contribute more in projects
7) Keep my room clean--I will totally miss my 3yrs in it!
8) Meet up with friends all over
9) Expect more of myself
10) Win more @ poker! hahaa (okay this is not mandatory)

Things I know won't change: (hopefully reverse psych helps here)
1) Being such a tv junkie
2) Being such a fbwhore
3) Believing in beauty in my mess (乱中带美, you know?)
4) Loving food (moderation, i must remind myself)
5) Blogging sporadically (can't help la. easier to juz upload pics on fb)

Yups, that should be it for resolutions.. But anw, I hope by next xmas, I'll see myself giving more gifts!! For real. Not exchange gifts only. I hardly gave out any this year! And hopefully summer won't see me too americanised, nor depressed cos I'm alone overseas..I'm really looking forward to it now and I hope that never hits me.

May 2009 bring a new horde of friendships my way, and keep the old ones gold and lasting!

Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat! :)

haha I am laughing at my title now cos it just reminds me how my bro changed the word "goose" to "you" when he was trilling it to me. -_-' right. lol fine. but I am happy!! It's my fave season of the year!! Although i still wish i'm in US with the sis but well. Christmas songs are playing on the radio and Christmas Carols are stuck in my head so all is jolly and goooood. :)

Nooow. wassup w my hols.. it's been carolling, carolling and more carolling! Tml got, xmas also got 4 sessions! but it's been an experience, really. I had sports but i think i've been going for more chingay dance pracs more than either flrball or touch. *guilty* Love the dance pracs tho! Quite fun esp when me n xun are such good partners!

Anyway, I can't believe I'm currently in hall on the eve of eve of xmas.. Just went around chatting to Joe and Dennis, who I've both not talked to a long time already, and it was good to catch up! Realised that alot of couples have sprouted around this festive season, which is, a good thing i guess. Been chilling out abit here and there with great company, and it seems this december has flown by!

Oh yes, and of course there was the USA, which is, everything I've expected and more! Definitely satisfying; and I'm half glad I'm going back in the summer.. half glad, and abit half scared. But that's another story.

Hello! updated! :D

Okay guys i admit i'm the laziest blogger ever. haha. hello, when texas is just one click away, how can i not fall for its temptation? ;P

but anyway since i've been trying to mug but ended up facebooking and blogsurfing, i might as well stop this week-long procrastination..(and procrastinate my studying abit further).. :P

Hm skipping all the whining about studying, this week and the last has actually been pretty relaxing and fun! I love mugging with my blockmates, esp if i don't have to mug as much (haha peeps don't kill me)! Spent most of the time in the reading room this sem, and amazingly its been pretty useful! Lots of jokes n funny stuff in between like jan and her Shrek ears and AC with his sleeping shots;

which helps to keep me awake when it gets monotonous.. :P

And not to forget the occasional i repeat. Occasional. Poker sessions. sian, that afternoon was juz pay to see other people win. :( And HEROES!! yay tomorrow the next ep comes out, i can't wait! haha shucks it can't be detrimental if it is only once a week right? :D MOtivation to study, no? Beanie should agree. :P And then we started abit of Karaokeparty.com too! that was a mistake at 5am. hurhur. Happened after a night out studying with xun and lester, scouring the boat quay area for a 24hr study place..We ended at TCC and Macs in e end, and it was quite a fun night, tho i won't exactly say fruitful..not as much as expected. Too comfy at tcc, and too burnt out by the time at macs..it was funny tho, the Domokun parts..haha i never noticed the resemblence. hinthint* xun & kun. lol.

Seriously. i can't wait for friday to come! Thats when my long-awaited paper is and also when i fly off to the U and the S and the A!! yayyayyay. This sem is slack dao bao. Pretty excited cos i'll be going with the small brother, and i know its gonna be super fun! Already drooling over caramel apples in my mind. My childhood fantasy sweet can. I still haven't try yet. go there muz at least eat a few. And i'll be in the state where my fav guy phil from Wongfuproductions lives! San Franc! i think not many in spore know about them but anw. check out wongfuproductions.com if u must. :)

Barack Obama - Yes We Can music video

Barack Obama--He truly is inspirational! I've been watching videos of his speeches in the past hour or so, and I was super touched! I guess in speeches he obviously is supposed to say impressive stuff to gain votes, but he really did it fabulously, and I think he truly deserves to win the votes of those 60% of AMericans out there.. I'd vote for him too!

America needs change, and he is so on the right path of the changes the people want to see. I think there has been enough suffering in wars and more than enough abuse the Americans have done to this planet, and i'm glad Obama is going to put a stop to it. Or at least he says he is. His work is cut out for him and people truly believe he will carry it out..I believe he will carry it out. And I'm secretly glad it took a Black American to start that change. Something special has happened in history, and I really hope it is going to be a change that saves our little planet!
God Bless America, really.

Yikes. Rushing project parts and my 10 pager this week!! Work is finally kicking in. But so is Pink n Blue, Night Cycling, Choir for Culture Night, Floorball and Touch Trainings, Hari Raya gathering at Shar's (can't wait) and Deepavali, and the many bdays in between.

Life seriously sticks its finger in your eye when u're not looking eh?

I am full of mixed feelings right now. A good friend of mine just told me he mightn't stay single anymore for long.. Was chatting about the sweet little things they've started to do for each other..so aww-worthy..*sighs*

Brings back old memories and nostalgic feelings of the excitement you get doing something for someone new in your life, someone you wanna spend more time with..and those blushing, happy moments when you receive something back in return.. quoting Kt, "the best feeling in the world is when the person u like, likes you back".. So sweet! Haha I am really happy for that particular couple, really.

Recently so many couples have been blooming around me like flowers in the spring..Reminds me of a scene in "Secret Garden". Okay i dunno why i'm feeling so wimpy now, but I guess it's the old seasonal gripes at this time of the year, when xmas is creeping ever so quicky over, and it's just, u know, a special time to set apart for both Family and for a special someone..And I think it's just that new sexy black dress, sitting in my cupboard now that I know I won't be wearing for anyone...that's raking up the dusty autumn leaves in my Edrive. E for emotions. :(

Well. I think I am abit down too, amidst the swirl of happiness for the lovebirds around me; I can offically now confirm that I am not gg for NOC. I can' t say I should've seen it coming, because I thought it was a pretty good interview. Really disappointing. It just reminds me once again how again u can keep failing at something u keep going for, like a small girl trapped in a slippery well. I just keep slipping downwards! *sobs*

But, someone wise told me once me not to be too hung up on failure, for it only takes one success to make it right.

I do hope he is right, because right now, too many wrongs just don't make a right in my life.
